William McClain

born April 24, 1925, died October 20, 2011. He was a native of Knoxville, Tn and moved to Madison in 1996. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Ada Churchill McClain; wives, Nancy Hansard, and Florence Dotson. Survived by wife, Ann Maxwell McClain; step-sons, Dr. Robert (Carolyn) Dotson, Richard (Amanda) Dotson, Phil (Brandy) Maxwell, Brad (Mary) Maxwell; step-daughters, Rosemary (Billy) Lovelace, Sally Maxwell; several nieces and nephews. Mr. McClain served in the US Navy during WWII on Destroyer Escort Tabberer. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Madison Funeral Home Sunday 2-4 p.m. and Monday 1:30 p.m. until graveside service at 3:30 p.m. in Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Knoxville, Tn.
