Walter Michael Hill

Mr. Walter Hill, age 74; November 24, 1946 - January 30, 2025. Walter was preceded in death by his Grandmother Mrs. Sid McMurtry, Mother Catherine Juanita Bass, and his wife Mary Edith Hill. He is survived by his Step-Children Rick Gibbs (Eleanor) and Linda Deering, both of Smith County, TN; step grandchildren Ritchie Gibbs (Angie), Michael Driver (Tina) both of Smith County, and Shelly Merritt (Bert) of Dekalb County. He also leaves behind  8 step grandchildren and 4 step great-great Grandchildren.
Walter had a busy life serving his country in the army and working for the State in his younger years. He took over a stamp machine business from his father a later on retired from Bailey Company. He always loved fishing and traveling and loved his family dearly. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Madison Funeral Home, with Brother Ritchie Gibbs to officiate the service. Interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216
