VICKERS, Carrie Carter, age 93, passed away April 11, 2012. Preceded in death by husband, Homer E. Vickers; parents, Henry & Alcie Ragland Carter; brother, Dow Carter; sisters, Ora Reynolds, Bertie Neal, Pearly Harris, Bertha Neal, Martha Harris. Survived by sons, Miles Vickers and wife Rita, Nashville, Barry Vickers and wife Jane Miller, Oak Ridge, TN.; sisters, Magdalene Montgomery, Granville, TN., Refa "Trixie" Dretchen, Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Vickers, Brandon Vickers and wife Miriam, Knoxville, TN and Lindsey Vickers, Nashville, TN; several loving nieces and nephews; two special friends, Mabel Gillespie and Jeanette Clark. She attended Madison Church of the Nazarene for many years, was a homemaker, mother and devoted wife. She spent many hours reading God's Word and in service to her Lord.
