HARRIS, Mary Ruth, age 71, passed away September 26, 2012. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Rex Harris, Jr.; parents, Grover C. & Mary Carnahan Gray; sister, Lillie Louise Collins, Sara Florence Holt, Gloria Higgins, Dora May Watts; brother Grover Cleveland Gray. She is survived by son, Robert Michael Rist; step children, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Harris was an active member of American Legion, Post 82, the Red Hat Society, Fifty Forward at Madison Station and gave continually to her community through her service in these organizations and others. Visitation with the family will be at Madison Funeral Sunday 2-6 pm. The Ladies Auxillary will give a presentation in memory of Ms. Harris at 5 p.m. Visitation Monday 10 am until service time at 12 Noon with Minister Cherie Porter officiating.
