Jimmy Joe Mangrum, age 64, passed from this life on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Nashville, TN. As a true Tennessean, Jimmy loved the Tennessee Titans. He was a true die hard fan, cheering his Titans on every week, whether they won or lost.
Jimmy Joe also had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, especially his Dyna Low Rider that he called Purple Haze. Through his love of Harley's, Jimmy met many other bikers and people who became not only friends but like family. His love for motorcycles and football did not compare to the love he had for his family and friends. His family was the number one thing in his life and all he wanted was for them to be happy, loved and taken care of.
He lived life to the fullest and on his own terms in his own way. Jimmy Joe lived a simple life, full of love, laughter, fun and joy. A hard working man and painter by trade.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Wright Mangrum; sisters, Lucy Norris and Paulette Norris; his granddaughter Lilianna Rodriguez.
Jimmy is survived in life by his fiancé, Debbie Jones; daughters Cassie(Fabian) Rodriguez and Melinda(Patrick)Thomason; son Boo(Amanda) Jones; brothers Johnny(Wanda) Mangrum and Andy(Montie)Mangrum; sisters Edith Cook and Ruby(Tim) Fults; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; Jimmy is also survived by his best buddy and brother Terry Merritt Sr.; several nieces, nephews as well as cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday April 11th from 12 noon to 3pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at Madison Funeral Home. The family asks that you wear Harley Davidson or Tennessee Titans
