James Earl Denney, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, was born April 28, 1942, to Wiley B. and Eva L. Denney. He departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at age 82.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce A. Denney, his daughter Jessica Wilder, son-in-law Leroy Wilder and James “Wolf” Gilliam; three grandsons, Shawn Gilliam, Aden Wilder, and Derrick Wilder and numerous other relatives and friends.

James was man who found peace in nature and the outdoors. He could be found spending meaningful moments with his family, fishing or going for a walk. His memory will forever be a treasure to his loved ones.
