LIFE REFLECTIONS

Ervin Leon Fisher, Jr was born on August 15, 1945 to the late Ervin Leon Fisher, Sr. and the late Pearlene Hogget Fisher.  He was the eldest of seven children and was preceded in death by his youngest brother, William Edwin Fisher.  Leon entered intoeternal rest on January 25, 2025. 

Leon was educated in the Nashville City School System, Moses McKissack Elementary, Washington Jr. High and graduated from Pearl High School in 1964.

Leon was married to Thelma Nance and to this union two sons were born.  He accepted Christ during his teenage years and became a member of Mount Calvery Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Hogue. 

Leon was employed in the catering profession for several yearsin the Nashville area.  He later moved to Florida and continued his career until his retirement in 2018 at which time he returned to Nashille.

Leon acquired a love for the sport of golf at an early age.  He started as a caddy at McCabe Golf Course and later developed the desire to learn the game. He participated in many golf tournaments over the years.  

Leon leaves to cherish his memory devoted sons: Ervin Leon Fisher, III, Jermaine Dion Fisher of Nashville, TN and special family friend, Destian (Dustin) Goad of Hanover, IN; Brother: Kenneth Lafayette (Debra) Fisher; Sisters: Sonya Bernice (Murphy) Goodman, Sharron Elaine (Theodore) Hill, Jacquelyn Pearl Fisher (Henry Smith) of Nashville, TN and Delores Loretta Mayes of Memphis, TN.  A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and close relatives and friends.
