Era Menees

MENEES, ERA ESTELLE, age 88 of Madison, TN., passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Henry W. Menees; parents, Porter Reece and Hulda Elizabeth Newton; two brothers and five sisters. Survived by four children, Wanda (David) Belt, Patsy (Jim) Forkum, Gene (Patsy) Menees, Annette (Wayne) Haley; six grandchildren, Allan (Sheryl) Meguiar, Katherine (Barry) Cobb, Sara (Trey) Miles, Katie (Matt) Frazier, Peyton and Brandon Haley; seven great grandchildren, Trey Short, Cameron and Chloe Cobb, Hutson and Harper Kate Miles, Max and Molly Claire Frazier; several nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. A charter member of Neely's Bend Baptist Church, she was a dedicated teacher in the children's department for 50+ years. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and watching her grandchildren play sports. Lasting memorials may be sent to Elite Elderly Care 101 Dale Avenue, Hendersonville, TN., 37075 for the kindness and loving care she received by Chris and Rebecca Sandu.
