Carl Michael David, born January 27, 1951, passed peacefully on September 14, 2025, at 9:25 PM. Surrounded in his passing was his loving family and friends.

Carl was a humble and simple kind of man who loved his family. Carl never met a stranger and was friendly to everyone. He worked as a warehouse manager at Rock Tenn Company for many years before he retired. Carl grew up in Port Allen, Louisiana but formally resided in Nashville, Tennessee where he lived a full and happy life until his passing. Though he made a home in Tennessee his heart and love for his Louisiana family stayed strong.

His kindness, humor, and thoughtfulness touched all of us.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Claude David, his mother, Mabel Martinez David, and his brothers, Carol David and Daniel David. He is survived by his sisters, Claudia David Mullinax and Cindy David Barron and her husband Dale and brother Jeff David; along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his beloved children, Stephanie David Bolds, Chad David and his wife Maria, Daniel Tomes, Alexis David, Bradley David, and Carson David. He was a proud grandfather to Chelsie Lablance, Blaise David, Maise David, Dustin Burgers, Robert Bolds, and Brennen Bolds, and a cherished great-grandfather to Payton, Parker, Blaise Jr., Blakelyn, Blake Jr., Bryson, Scarlet, and Deliah.
