Betty Ruth McCarrell Betty McCarrell, age 89, formerly of Washington, PA. passed away in her sleep October 16, 2012 in Madison, TN. She was a retired restaurant owner and operator. She was born July 2, 1923 in Friendly, WV to Arch W. Chase and Grace Bertha Fallen both deceased. Her husband Leaman J. McCarrell, son William B. McCracken and daughter Bonnie A. Bitz precede her in death. She is survived by sons Fred (Dorothy) McCracken of Wyanet,IL, Robert (Linda) McCracken of Madison, TN, granddaughter Briana (Lonnie) McCracken-Alexander of Franklin, TN, granddaughter Erin (Matthew) Bitz-Simpson of Canonsburg, PA, granddaughter Stephanie Bitz of Washington, PA., grandson Scott (Paula) McCracken of Morgantown, WV, granddaughter April McCracken of Fairmont, WV, cousins Howard "Biggie" Byard of Glen Dale, WV, Sherry (Russ) Byard-Schlenker of Moundsville, WV, Marvin (Shirley) Byard of Glen Dale, WV and Peggy (Dan) Byard-Elliott of Glen Dale, WV. Betty was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends. A memorial is being planned for a later date for the immediate family and friends.
