Barry Myers

MYERS, BARRY LEE, 66, of Madison died peacefully April 26, 2010. He was born September 19, 1943 in Easton, PA. Preceded in death by father, Lester C. Myers; mother, Helen Irene Sharkey Myers; children, Leanna (Scott) Radney, Thane (Paula) Myers, Tracy (Josh) Woodward; brother, Steven (Barbara) Myers; sister, Andrea (Ed) Benz; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Barry graduated from Wilson Area High School in 1961. He was ambitious, motivated and worked his way through several careers. He served in the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Little Rock, AR. Following his discharge from the Air Force he began a career in computer programming and analysis, on the cusp of computer technology. He worked at Murray, Inc and First American National Bank for many years. Because of his love of flying, he worked to gain his pilot's license and became General Manager at Springfield Airport in Springfield, TN. Visitation with the family will be at Madison Funeral Home Friday, April 30, 2010, 4 p.m. until memorial service time at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
