Allen Eugene “Gene” Barnett passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 83.

He is survived by his close and dearest friends; Alan Hurt, Eddie Jaro and Ronnie Morris who have been his caregivers for the last three years, plus many more friends, especially Ahava Healthcare of Clarksville.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Allen Barnett and Nittia “Dee” Sweeney Barnett, his wife for over 30 years Dolores Baskin Barnett and his sister Carolyn Barnett.

Being a lifetime resident of Madison, Tennessee, Gene was a 1960 graduate of Madison High School. He worked at General Electric Company for several years. He was in the Air National Guard for twenty years. Gene was a machinist and gunsmith who operated his own business.

Gene was a kind, loving and generous man. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and working in his shop.  He was a member of City Road Methodist Church.
